Our Speaker will be Barbara J. Schmidtman, Ph.D

Barbara Schmidtman has a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Business Administration, with focus in Industrial Organizational Psychology and master’s degree in Organizational Leadership. Barbara’s doctoral studies have focused solely on physician behaviors and how demonstrated physician leadership style affects individuals and teams, either positively or negatively. Dr. Schmidtman is a member of several honor societies, including the Lambda Eta Chapter of Delta Mu Delta, an international business honor society. Most recently, Dr. Schmidtman can be recognized as one of the 2018 Cornerstone Chamber of Commerce Nominee’s for Young Business Leader of the Year.
Dr. Schmidtman has spoken at a variety of events, most recently at the TARGIT Collaborative Group on how to build a successful business plan for Intraoperative Radiation Therapy. Clinically, Dr. Schmidtman is a Nuclear Medicine Technologist and has worked in health care in a variety of roles, including nuclear medicine, human resources, and leadership for nearly 17 years. Currently Dr. Schmidtman leads the radiation oncology, ambulatory infusion, research, and vascular access departments for Lakeland Health.
