Introduction for Mary Jane Mapes

Mary Jane Mapes, CSP is an award winning leadership/communication strategist, business relationship expert, and founder and president of The Aligned Leader Institute, a leadership development and executive coaching organization located in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Raised by her parents in a 1200 square foot home, along with 7 brothers, a baby sister, and the family dog, she became fully aware of the impact of less than harmonious relationships early on – particularly when using the family’s ONLY bathroom was the goal. For over 25 years she has helped leaders (and those in a position to influence) to discover the power they have to ignite greatness within themselves, their relationships, and within others, all contributing to a world-class culture.

Mary Jane believes that only when people ignite the greatness within themselves and their relationships, can they ignite it within others. She has helped a multitude of others do just that. Among her many clients she includes Trinity Health Systems, Duke University Medical School, Stryker Corp., Farmers Insurance, and Avon Products, Inc..

Mary Jane is author of a weekly Video Series, Ignite the Greatness in You!, a bi-monthly newsletter, Worth the Time, numerous articles, CD’s and training videos on the subjects of leadership, communications, customer service, and personal development. She is also the author of three books, including her Amazon bestseller, You CAN Teach a Pig to Sing – Create Great Relationships with Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere, the subject of her program today.

Mary Jane is a Certified Speaking Professional, an earned designation granted by the National Speakers Association for standards of excellence in the field of speaking.

She is a wife to husband Bill, mother of two grown children, and a really poor golfer. Her program today is titled: You CAN Teach a Pig to Sing – Secrets to Irresistible Influence.
