    The Speaker is Dr. Bob Harrison, President of Lake Michigan College.

    The Presentation Topic is ... LMC's Continuing Efforts to Help Local Employers.

    Dr. Harrison will explain the many benefits that local employers have with working with Lake Michigan College.  He will also share the present pulse of businesses in the area, and the efforts being made by LMC to help the local employers.  

    Dr. Robert (Bob) Harrison is president of Lake Michigan College.  Bob joined LMC in 1999. Prior to being named as president in 2009, he served the College as dean of Community and Business Services, dean of Occupational Studies, and executive dean of LMC’s Bertrand Crossing Campus in Niles, and with administrative oversight of the College’s workforce contracts with the Berrien-Cass-Van Buren and Kalamazoo/St. Joseph County Michigan Works agencies. Before joining LMC, Bob worked in the health care industry for over 30 years. He was chief operating officer at Lakeland Regional Health System, and was also president and chief executive officer of Pawating Hospital in Niles.

    Bob holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in Organizational Analysis from Western Michigan University. He also holds a Masters in Business Administration degree from Temple University, and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Business Administration from WMU.


    Lake Michigan College is a 2-year community college offering associate degrees and one-year certificates in more than 100 transfer and career areas of study at the Napier Avenue Campus in Benton Township, South Haven Campus, M-TEC at Lake Michigan College facility in Benton Harbor, and Bertrand Crossing Campus in Niles.
